Meet The Team

Mr. Norred is a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (IAAI-CFI(V) & NAFI-CFEI); a Certified Firefighter/EMT and a Georgia Certified Peace Officer. Kevin has earned the Motor Vehicle Fire credential from the International Association of Arson Investigators and is licensed by the FAA as a Part 107 Remote Pilot for unmanned aircraft systems.

Mr. Norred has over 32 years of experience involving fires and explosions and has investigated the origin and cause of over 750 fires in 6 states involving industrial, commercial and residential fires; as well as vehicle and heavy equipment fires and explosions. As part of his work, he has collected and preserved evidence, interviewed witnesses, provided consultation and testified in both criminal and civil courts since 2002.

Kevin currently serves as the Fire Marshal in Troup County, Georgia. He maintains more than twenty certifications through Georgia Peace Officer’s Standard’s and Training, The Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training Council and The National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications. He is a graduate of West Georgia Technical College’s Fire Science Program and The University of Georgia’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government.

Mr. Norred has provided the insurance industry with timely, systematic origin and cause determinations since 2008; beginning as a Fire Investigation Technician and currently as a Certified Fire Investigator through the International Association of Arson Investigators and The National Association of Fire Investigators.

Kevin serves on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Fire Investigator’s Association and as President of the West Central Georgia Chapter – GFIA. He is a decorated combat veteran of the US Army and a lifelong resident of the West Georgia Area.
